SITUATION

Two roof windows and exposed services within one attic-finishing scope

The existing attic had two roof windows: an old VELUX GGL-9 and a second window by Purilan. Pipework ran visibly beneath the low side of the roof.

The assignment called for insulation and a coherent white finish around the sloping roof planes and both roof-window areas, together with a custom solution for the exposed pipework.

SCOPE OF WORK

Agreed work for this home

The delivery combined roof-window work, insulation and finishing within the confirmed project scope.

  • Replace the old VELUX GGL-9 roof window with a VELUX GGL CK01 2070 measuring 55 × 70 cm
  • Insulate the sloping roof planes with 140 mm ISOVLAS PL140, Rd 3.68
  • Install timber battens for the insulation and panel finish
  • Install white 12 mm finishing panels and Agnes One-Step trims
  • Connect the interior finish around both existing roof-window areas
  • Build a custom knee wall on request to conceal exposed pipework

EXECUTION

From the existing condition to insulated and finished roof planes

The work photographs show the existing roof windows and pipework, the open roof build-up during insulation and batten installation, and the panel finish as the knee wall takes shape.

Every selected image comes from this home. They are grouped by stage; no exact day-by-day chronology is implied within a group.

ROOF WINDOWS

VELUX GGL-9 replaced; second roof window by Purilan

The old VELUX GGL-9 roof window was replaced with a VELUX GGL CK01 2070 measuring 55 × 70 cm.

The second existing roof window is by Purilan; the interior finish around this roof-window area was included in the attic finishing.

MATERIAL SYSTEM

Verified build-up for insulation and white finishing

This home used the same verified material approach as the documented Assen work, without assigning an exact surface area to this individual property.

  • ISOVLAS PL140, 140 mm, Rd 3.68
  • White finishing panels, 12 mm
  • Agnes One-Step finishing trims
  • Timber battens

CUSTOM KNEE WALL

Pipework deliberately taken out of direct view

The custom knee wall was made on request to conceal the previously exposed pipework beneath the low roof side. The photographs show the starting point, build-up and result of this finishing element.

RESULT

A coherent finish around the roof planes, roof windows and low roof sides

The recorded scope resulted in insulated and white-panelled sloping roof planes, a renewed VELUX roof window and a knee wall that conceals the exposed pipework from view.

Existing technical equipment and the timber floor remain visible in the project photographs; this case presents the delivered roof-window, insulation and finishing scope, not a fully furnished attic room.
